Dutchman Creek Conservation Bank is a 501-acre vernal pool landscape that contributes to a larger natural lands matrix comprising several existing conservation banks, conservation easements, and the Merced National Wildlife Refuge. Dutchman creek, with the surrounding properties, totals over 10,000 acres focused on safeguarding species and their habitats. The vernal pools and grassland habitat on the site supports Vernal Pool Tadpole Shrimp, Vernal Pool Fairy Shrimp, Conservancy Fairy Shrimp, California Tiger Salamander, Western Spadefoot Toad, Mid-Valley Fairy Shrimp, Swainson’s Hawk, and San Joaquin Kit Fox.
